Behind every great performance is a dedicated team working tirelessly to make it all happen.
Our committee is the backbone of Whitworth Amateur Musical and Dramatic Society (WAMDS), bringing creativity, organisation, and passion to every production. From planning shows to managing rehearsals and keeping the society running smoothly, meet the people who keep the spotlight shining.

Our society thrives as a result of its members, and therefore we’re always happy to welcome new friends, new ideas and new skillsets into WAMDS!

If you’re interested in getting involved either on or off stage as a performer, technician, stage crew, front of house member, costume maker or set builder - we would love to hear from you! Meet the Committee

WAMDS is run entirely by volunteers, with a dedicated committee of 14 members who manage everything from production planning to marketing, fundraising, technical setup, and building maintenance. The committee includes roles such as:

• Chair, Vice Chair & Treasurer

• Social Media & Marketing

• Fundraising & Events

• Lighting, Sound & Set Design

• Building and Hall Maintenance
